Prior to joining the buying team at Lay & Wheeler in July 2021, Jeffrey worked for nearly a decade in hospitality. After qualifying as a sommelier in Spain, he started working in top restaurants across England, Scotland, and Norway. His previous role was as sommelier at the renowned Maaemo restaurant in Oslo, Norway. He has since moved to Colchester where outside of work, he can be found reading, supporting Hibernian FC, and drinking Pinot Noir (often simultaneously). In addition to his native English, he speaks Spanish, Italian, and Norwegian.
